MEDICATION MANAGEMENT
Dr. Tuis provides evidence-based treatment recommendations. If medication is recommended, Dr. Tuis will work with you to find the right medication. Dr. Tuis will explain the risks and benefits of different medications. She will work closely with you to ensure you tolerate the medication appropriately and, most importantly, that you find it effective.
SCHOOL CONSULTATIONS
Dr. Tuis provides school consultations through the Board of Education. She conducts assessments of individual students. Dr. Tuis will make recommendations for the best in-school accommodations and treatment, if needed.
TEACHING
Dr. Tuis cares deeply about education. She is an Associate Professor at Yale Child Study Center where she supervises residents, and fellows in psychotherapy and in their clinical rotations.
THERAPY
There are different therapy modalities and diagnoses for each person. Dr. Tuis believes in integrating and providing the therapeutic modality that fits you best.
LIAISON
Not all children and adolescents are the same. Sometimes, struggling with a psychiatric diagnosis and navigating a school system can be overwhelming. That’s where Dr.Tuis comes in. She works with families to best manage their children’s needs.
COMMUNITY WORK
Dr. Tuis has also dedicated her career to providing medical care to underserved communities.
